Reevastra Atelier

Unrepeatable upcycled textile art

We resurrect discarded structural textiles into one-of-a-kind wearable art. Every garment is hand-painted with raw obsidian pigment and reconstructed without zero-waste compromise.

Studio Practice

Raw canvas and obsidian

Our material sourcing focuses on heavy vintage workwear canvas, discarded upholstery weaves, and deadstock industrial cottons. Each weave brings distinct historical density and physical weight to the cutting table.

In the atelier, raw panels are treated with custom obsidian pigments applied by brush or blade. The hand-painted marks fix into the fiber matrix, guaranteeing that no two garments yield identical surface topographies.

The Circular Manifesto

Every seam is an intentional rebellion against landfill culture

Zero mass production. Zero synthetic plastic treatments. We reject organic-beige compromise in favor of uncompromising, architectural circular couture.

Studio Notes

Technical research and notes

Entry 01

Textile density and tensile life

Evaluating structural endurance in reclaimed industrial cottons. Decades of wear create dense weave memory, giving patchwork garments structural longevity impossible to replicate with modern virgin fibers.

Entry 02

Obsidian pigment stabilization

Formulating non-toxic mineral pigment suspensions for heavy outerwear. Applying mineral oxides directly to unwashed canvas produces permanent matte black brushwork resistant to flex and friction.

Entry 03

Zero-waste pattern geometry

Patterning garments around original fabric salvage edges and architectural seam boundaries. Fragmented textile shapes determine garment silhouettes, eliminating post-cutting waste.
